Does the crest 10004 amplifier have dual windings in transformer primary, so that I can change operation voltage from 115V to 230V?
I've sent an e-mail two times to crest support but got no reply. Also got no reply from finnish authorized crest service. Crest documentation refers that the operation voltage is "factory configured", whatever that means... |

Than you all for your replys. I'm sorry announce that crest 10004 schematic set does not contain the connection diagram for the transformer primaries nor the circuitbreaker.
Anyone of you actually made the change? |

Normally there are 2 primaries run in series or parallel
Try & find an owner to take lid off & look @ torroid ie label/number of cables |

I wondered how long it would be before my name got mentioned - haha! Both myself & Bruce have been asked this question a lot in the last year odd! The easiest way is if you can get the serial numbers of the amps your looking at. Cheers Rex |

In most of the newer versions of P series (e.g. 1994 onwards) You should find five wires that form the connections on the primary side of the tx - (grey, blue, white, black, purple). I can't remember for sure off the top of my head which way they are connected, so I won't comment - but if anyone needs to know I'm happy to check.
Cheers Rex |
