what amp is recomended to use for SUB duty of a 13a plug socket?
looking for something capable of running 4 x 18" speakers on heavy sub duty!! used a Crown VZ5000 over the weekend and it cut out on me ![]() |

for lightweight your mate tells me pkn or qsc pl380....hard work choosing an amp for your drivers tweet! have you tried inf8 on 13a yet? should ask to bring your minis to the amp test aswell as thats across 13a supply and might interest alot of people as theres lots of tmax owners looking for 13a amps out there i would imagine

the new ASS bass amp 3.6k@ 4 ohm a side (matrix from tonyASS) naphon may also do it

Odd, I regularly run a 5000VZ off a 13a socket on a pair of 4x18 subs.
When you say it kept cutting out on you, do you mean the 13a fuse kept blowing or the amp actually cut out? |

These are my thoughts exactly, "cut out" and "fuse blown" are very different terminology.

I thought this post was going to be about which 13A plugs are the best, was slightly disappointed to find it was actually about a macrotech lol
So to answer the question that wasn't asked, I like "Permaplug" rubber 13A plugs, they're ugly but otherwise very good :)
