Hi, id like to know if you screw the removable panel with the same screws that you screw the panels or if you use t-nuts like for the drivers, or any advice for making it.
Thanks for your help and time Edited by endre_k - 07 August 2012 at 4:41pm |

you use t-nuts that way you can open and close it as many times as you want where as with screws if you did that the access panel wouldnt be held as tightly and eventually you would have to make new holes for the screws....

what about sealing it?
do you seal the removable panel with silicone, as I would with the hole joints of the panels?? Wont it be a loss of air through there?? ty Edited by endre_k - 07 August 2012 at 5:55pm |

I think I put about 16 screws round the access panel on my 184 subs, and once thair all done up there's no air leakage.

i mena, once you got everything done, sealed and finished, how does the driver go in and out? if you have to replace it? the upper chamber? or the bottom chamber?

on that build i used screws which was a mistake! use t-nuts/bolts always.
the driver comes out via the hatch. why else would you put a hatch in in the first place? have you looked at the plan? |

first of all thanks for your help and time = ) yes offcourse hehe, obvius thats why there is a removable panel = ) but i dont see how...sorry it might sound ridiculus, but before starting to make it i want to be 10000% sure hehe , so i dont need to buy more wood = ) because once you put the driver the screws and tnuts go like the picture right? but the removable panel its just the bottom chamber right? and the only way to take out the driver is pulling it up through the upper chamber right? (pink colour) Or am I understanding the plan completely wrong? for sure... lol = ) ![]() thanks a lot = ) |
