It sound surprisingly good. Can take lot of power too.
Be careful when bolting it down. the chassis is very weak and it flex. Let it play during bolting because the flex is changing the sound. Kinda like aligning a HF driver recone kit.

For the cost they sound really good.
In my cab it needs a boost to bring the low out, I think heavily dampening really cleans/clears the mid range and makes it sound more focused (to my ears).
They are going to be used as delay/fill boxes.
They do take power well as MarjanM said, I'm running it from a C audio pulse 2x1100 on the 8" and 4x300 on the 1" with DB mark doing the processing.

Not as refined as I would like but very useable, for a budget jobbie I don't think you cant go wrong.
I've got a few more tweaks I want to try time depending.

Cut it at 1200-1500hz and it sounds  good. 2khz is a bit pushy.

Its an 8", 2khz can easily be achieved with a quality 8".
Also, how do you know, have you heard it, i guess not.
Best regards,
Teun.

I've not found the 8" sounds pushy crosssed at 2Khz.

For me its how the 1" & 8" interact with each other.

The lowest I take would the 1" is 1.9khz as I feel it starts to sound pushy.
If i used a different 1" i would drop the crossover some but I do like the 1" I've used

I'm thinking of going for a 1.4" - P-Audio SD-63BF-1.4 comp & P-Audio PH-3022 flare
