Any suggestions on a decent little amp to power an old technics 2 way monitor and maybe it's twin, they're both rated at 6ohm and 60w rms I think....

Lepai LP2020A+. Plug and play solution. It's not a top of the line product, but the most recent version is pretty good.

they have some more amps in there, but this particular one is happy on 12v source...

good experience with them have couple of their boards no problems so far :-)

It's meant for 24-30v, lower efficiency on 12v and higher idle power. TA202x or Maxamp is better suited for 12v operation. If connected to mains it wouldn't be a problem.
