We have inherited a system and need some guidance on amps to get it going.

The spec of the system is:
Bass Bins - 2 x Celestion ftr18-4080f 600W RMS 8Ω (in 2 boxes)
Low Mids - 2 x Eminence Kappa Pro-15LF-2 600W RMS 8Ω (in 1 box)
High Mids - 2 x Fane Crescendo 10MB 300W AES 8Ω (in 1 box)
Tops - 2 x Celestion CDX1-1745 40W RMS 8Ω (in 1 box)
Crossover - Behringer CX-3400

Been advised that we would need:
Subs - 1 x 2-2.5kW @  bridged
Low - 1 x 1.2-1.5kW  bridged
High & tops - 1 x 600W @  stereo.

Is this right?

We currently have a budget of around £300-£400, what amps would people recommend?

Thoughts appreciated and cheers in advance!

You might get lucky and get a half decent used amp for your bass and mids for that money, it's a low budget though!!

If your any good at building a speaker box you could could take the eminence, fane, celestion and build two boxs for one of each driver, to go on top of each celestion sub

Remember when it comes to amps newer is not always better ;)

This is what it looks like, and we have no idea about building boxes (yet!) so probably leave it as it for now.
Can you recommend any good sites (other than here & ebay) we can get second hand amps?

tricky. your budget is small for premium amps. you will be buying mid-range 2nd hand. you will be running the rig 4 way mono, which that crossover supports I believe.

there will be a variety of opinions as to the best amp options here. I doubt you can get adequate amplification for less than £500

personally, I might be tempted to pick up some QSC RMX2400 on ebay / facebook rig resale for £200 each. they do 2.4kw at 4ohm bridged. you could then pick up a lesser QSC RMX series for the tops. you will also want a nice big rack for the amps to keep and transport them in.

have you got cabling? you will need a bunch of speakons as well which will increase the budget.

perhaps try to buy a whole rack, rather than individual amps?
