Have you guys heard much about B52 1000watt 18" subwoofers? My friend has a few of them and says they are the best you can get for the price, AND they go down to 20hz.
How do these compare to the Void 1000 and alike? Worth the money? http://www.b-52pro.com/products/Components.html

A visual glance says they do not appear to be totally useless, 4" voicecoil and a cast frame. Obtain the TS parameters and simulate them in whichever enclosure takes your fancy. I would imagine the Void will embarrass them but without the TS you cannot be sure what application they are designed for. Probably reflex which as I recall the V1000 is not best suited to if people are putting them in X1s.
All half decent bass enclosures will go down to 20Hz, they might just be 40dB down from the output at 60Hz. The question is how you market it. A drivers free air response will be totally changed when you mount it in an enclosure too. |

So they would be embarrassed by V18-1000, and quite a few other drivers then.. |
