I used to use multiples of a clone of the Klipsch LaScala (a similar sized horn)

I built 24 of them.

The LaScala it basically a 100hz horn, Klipsch claimed it was ±5dB in a room to 45hz.

A block of four was usable to 42hz with some EQ.

Hornresp shows a single being a direct radiator (a big woofer in a small sealed box) below about 90hz.

Gray is K33 (the hi-fi driver), black is the K43 (the PA driver).

One K43 in a vented LaScala type box, about 7dB more output in the 40hz range. Sims done with 2.83V in 2Pi, drivers are nominal 4Ω types.

A single has very impressive bass when used with a 35hz Q=2 filter in a typical room.

EV Interface A EQ box at top left of photo, BMS Co-Ax for mids and HF on a custom made wooden elliptical horn.

In room raw response in gray, with a digital room EQ in blue.

I've got the same thing on paper waiting for room in my lockup for a mock up.

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.
