hi there, i'm looking for a few budjet amps and need to know what skytec are like for sound and reliability.
Can anyone enlighten me?

Behringer amps are great! EP2500's never let me down and have done all my dry hire work for several years never a problem, i dont know anything that matches is pounds for watts

Long as you get the ones with loads of LED lights on the front, they will last longer and the inductance of the diodes gives you a smoother tighter bass and crisper topend.

Sky tec is brilliant if you fancy being ripped off.
Otherwise go Tamp, AudioHead, Matrix ukp or second hand matrix. Amps to be wary of include sky tec, stageline IMG, soundlab to name a couple. Anyone know what warrior or gemini amps are like? Lots being sold on htfr.com. |

Kam's KXR range is also a very good budget reliable amp. I've been spanking the 2000 for about 4 years doing bass.

Not Audiohead - it's a rip-off of an old Mackie power amp design. Same for C-Mark. Don't support the counterfeiters!
