We all start from the bottom, very few, in comparison, make it to the top.

My ultradrive has just developed a fault. When I power it up, the screen lights up but it is blank, also none of the input and output buttons are working.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem, and how can I fix it? Thanks

sometimes that happens with items like this due to a loose connection or being placed too close to strong magnetic sources for a period of time.. somehow messes up the clock oscillator circuits.
Wise to take appart and reseat all the connectors, also silly as it sounds a swift whack on the lid often sorts that out ;) |

Fixed! I only reseated the connector on the main pcb from the display.
Thanks Nineleaves!

aye... a huge wacking bill for an exclusively authorised service agent to open a far more expensive box to fix the exact same issue, a loose cable ..happens once in a while to alot of things ;)
Frankly you get alot more for your money than you should rightly with this box, nothing short of excellent.. and all companys have teething problems with in field use and blips in production line consistency from time to time ;) |

one of mine has had a fault for almost two years now, no matter what i try, it just wont go away. it seems the reliability of the ultradrive is so great the guy i lent it to over a year & a half ago wont give it back!
Behringer customer support have been totally useless at resolving this issue, *not pleased* goes to show u get what u pay for! next time i'll get a used driverack for twice the price & then i can just buy it back off ebay if it ever goes missing

You'll always get a bad one or two in a batch run unfortunately.. only you only ever hear about such things when someones got a problem; for every 'x' units that get sold ..its only the one that mucks around that anyone ever hears about. If the product is agressively priced, then immediately peoples goto thought is "well its cheap" ..whereas if its expensive the first thing folks do is scream at the company & expect them to re-affirm thier beleif in the price of the product by fixing their 'one off fluke' :)
overall though yes, behringers quality control on checking product going out the door is upto scratch has tended to slip more often than most; on a new product purchase ive never had an issue swapping the one item i had an issue with out. as for the faults found in older kit, its always to date been piss simple stuff to sort. Customer services though, yeah as with many companys they can be bloody useless ..thats usually when the unskilled see a repairman. what fault precisely ?
