Hello!
I am building two Beyma SB18 with Beyma 18P1200Nd. The material is 18 mm scandinavian birch. I hope to be finished in a week or two.

I presume that is a fabric "grill" for protecting the driver? what is the material? I assume this is for home use (or similar non aggresive venue!) |

First cab nearly finished. I will tomorrow make a test and compare the SB18 with a Punisher loaded with Ciare 12.00 SW.

I made a test this evening and used a QSC PLX 3402 as amplifier for subs and a Crown XS 4300 for EV SX 300. I connected a Beyma SB18 and a Punisher to the QSC on each channel (700w at 8 ohm) and from 30-120Hz.
The room was a bit small (4x8 m). The difference was not so great between the subs! The sound was equally high with a good kick in both subs but the SB18 sounded better at the lowest frequencies (30-50 Hz)

We built dual one...A pair outside per side ( equal to 4 SB18 each side) driven with 1500W each (driver) kick at 100 foot easy. Bottom are great, no need for extra sub. We did an arena this NYE with 4 double each side and this was enought for 6000 peoples...130 db in the middle of the crowd in ''C''...Pretty impressive for the size...We load them with RCF 18N401...Easy to get here. We measure 6mm of excurtion in one side, seem to be the same when driver kick inside..Just made some RTA this afternoon, will try to post it tomorow..
