Hi all.
I decided to clean my amp with a blower the other day and i let the fans spin while using the blower.
Then, i connected it to the mains and soonest i turned on the amp 2 pops/flashes where heard/seen from the upper left side of the fans and i immediately switched it off.
Then i took these pics   :)
When happened and how do i get it fixed?  :)

yeah...will probably be cheaper to have a technician flown from the uk down here and fix it, rather than sending the amp over there!   :-)

Speaking of which, T.AMP is really amazing ! They always have some phantom components on the PCB that don't exist on the schematics like those two Mylar caps (C1 & C2). Confused

took the proline today to an amp technician down here and it seems that 10/15 transistors on channel a (+ side) are shorted. maybe the reason why it happened lies somewhere else?
channel b works fine

No matter if 10 or 15 transistors are faulty. All have to be replaced on that channel. They have to be matched and from the same batch. Very nasty and expensive repair. Ouch

If it's still under warranty (three years as standard), send it back to Thomann where they will repair it or swap it out. Would keep quiet about whipping the top off though, incase it voids any warranty. Wink
