Someone previous in the thread said P.Audio Series 2 are still Class 2 drivers.

Which means Beyma, B&C Comps are still market leaders.

If the series 2 are equal or better than the originals then they should be adequate for most situations. I think that they are better than the 1”450s, a pair of which I have sitting on a shelf. Given that the CP850Nd is £426 compared to the BMD 750’s £82, one would expect the former to be better.

I’ve got a couple of cabs with the originals in and with the proviso that I don’t push them hard the sound is not bad. Yes the one inch drivers are smoother at the top end, but it is difficult to make a direct comparison because I can’t use the same horn and 1” drivers generally sound equal or better than 2” drivers at the top end anyway.

No one yet has ever complained or asked why I use them in preference to my other cabinets because they don’t sound as good.

The comparison drivers in my other cabs are:

B&C 250, RCF N-450 and the BMS 4524

The datasheet looks very good, titanium diaphragm.

It suggests the BMD 750-2 has "flatter" response than the mighty B&C DE85.

P-Audio isn't such a great deal in UK anymore, probably due to fewer agents, and rising price of replacement parts.
There was only ever one agent? Previously was Void/ProAudioParts, now its BlueAran. As far as I am aware the series 2 BM-D750/740 are the cheapest in their class by a mile and for the money are frankly excellent, the rest of the new comp driver range are proving to be just as good. Anyone wanting quantity or trade prices just needs to know who to speak to... (...ie PM me)

Sorry Selenium is taking a while to sort out. I met with their general manger at both Plaza and Frankfurt last year and bounced a few emails around in quasi-English. They were bought by Harman in 2010 which you'd have thought would make it easier to get but it seems to be having the reverse effect. Now you have prodded me again I will chase them up and see if we can do something. In the short term I would suggest Mircea may be your best option if he can ship them to you at a reasonable price.

Yes , I can confirm After they have been taken over bu Harman they have been a MASSIVE Pain in the arse to deal with.

We payed in advance and two months later they haven't been able to find the money in their bank accounts. This is purely their stupidity because thay have given us a Brasilian Bank account and some idiot in the accounting department keept looking in the US  bank account , after we already sent them a few "happy" e-mails in which we kept telling them that the account they gave us was in BRASILIA.

Idiots.
