So I rebuilt the Boombike this Summer.
All modular bolt together frames. New Tham 15 made from Polyurethaned flooring grade OSB. Trusty old Boominator and a nice shiny paint job with some Lidl Hammerite rattle cans. Then out and about at around 2.30am last Saturday at the Electric Picnic here in Ireland. |

Fantastic work mate :) I especially like the way you've mounted the amp and the way you've done the wheel mounting; I could do that to my trailers and ride a couple of inches lower....And your handlebar control box is also very nice! :)

Top job, looks really good.... I am looking at doing something similar, how do you get on site, is the bike an offical sound system?

I'm spoilt as I work for production so I bring it in the back of my Van. It cycles well but it's very heavy so hills and off roading would not be fun!

A small thing but why are the front tyres on backwards ? One would have thought reduced rolling resistance better directional ability & improved mud clearing with them t'other way round

Looks great, but might be a good idea to grommet the holes where the wires run into the frame, that could chafe through pretty quickly.

Wow eagle eyes....
It's never gonna be ridden at a velocity or across terrain that you would notice Tyre direction but wouldn't be hard to flip them round if necessary. As for the grommets, I was waiting for someone to pick up on that. I'm aware of it but have no grommets to hand, it will be sorted at some point.

In a car-audio shop or something with car parts, you can get some of the rubber hole protectors, that might be a good solution.
