After a long tidy up in my lockup today(looking for something else) came across 2 Bose 502BP Panaray Subwoofer Speakers the speakers inside have hadit mice & damp they must have been there for many years under loads of other stuff, now was thinking of cutting them down so the ports are at equal lenth & fitting a sub in the centre of them (face outwards) now bose say that they are tuned but if I put some speaker wool in there along with some partitions would that not fool the speakers into thinking the internal volume was greater than it is/ & has anybody done this before/
thanks
steve

This is/was a bandpass sub and a terrible one at that, if you do anything with these boxes besides make a bonfire you will be doing the music industry a disservice.

Quite liked the 502 myself, nothing wrong with the 802/502 setup in its day and applied properly with music contemporary to its design. Give it a bit of Stock Aitken Waterman and away you go.
