A novel idea for a fat max bag!

Can you get it to run off Li Ion batteries?
Just a thought :D

I'm thinking about buying Ryobi torches to strip and use with my 18v batteries
Just have to find the right amp to suit

if you mono summed the signal into the amp then you would have a mono signal playing into all the drivers (2 tweeters and bass mid driver). The bass mid driver at the moment will be losing the right hand channels signal from around 3khz to 90hz id imagine (90hz roughly is where bass becomes omni-directional) because you don't have the other bass mid. when building stereo into a project like your because of its size its better to have the drivers on a v baffle to try and separate the left and right channels to lessen cancellation. so if i was you i would turn it into a mono speaker rather than a stereo one due to the missing right hand frequency's. this can be done by mono summing the signal before it gos into the amp like this.

these resistors can be easily acquired from maplins or rs.

Thanks Ed. It was bothering me about losing all that signal but I didn't know how to sum it.
I painted it in Stonechip then Satin black from Rattle cans.
You're right though, Hammerite would do a good job but it does take ages to go off.
My Tinnitus is coming along nicely!!

Nice job that, re-use and upcycling is the best form of recyling.

Edd, i too have used hammerite on my speakers. Expensive but amazingly durable :-)
