The B and C DE35 range is 3.5k to 18k. Recommended x\o point is 5k. Not sure that you'll get a good sounding tweeter at 2.5k. It's the lower hf from a tiny diaphragm that's the problem

I dont think such a thing exists?

Even the former industry standard 2402 would only play down to 3khz,and was rated at 40 watts.

Cant you mount a 1" exit driver on a small horn instead? Even then you will struggle to find one rated at 150w rms...you would need a 2 inch with a 4 inch diaphragm to achieve that power handling.

Nope, they have allways been 40 watts Tweets at 3khz ,obviously crossing them at 7k is going allow higher a power handling, subject to a clean signal.

I did find this in a search for you....at 7 inches across its the size of a small bucket, and probually comes from Mr.Wong's factory in deepest China, not really a professional product, probually aimed at the car audio market i reckon, its looks like they took a JBL 2402 and put it on steriods..3 inch voice coil, and an "alleged" 500w power handling, but gawd knows what it will sound like?

Obviously 500w is a peak rating but they still handle some power, I would probably say 80-100w

    • 500 Watts
    • SPL: 107dB
    • Frequency response 2-25kHz
    • Strontium Magnet Structure
    • Flush Mount

I would treat those specs with a very big dose of salt.

I agree, but I have to admit they do sound nice. I use the JBL2402 but diaphrams too expensive for them. and I know I might get shot for saying this, but to me these are better for the way like our sizzle in JA.
