Hey guys,

I've just got my hands on a C-Audio SR-404. Having read this post with the specs i'm confused as the amp I have has 4 channels and was quoted at being 4x446w @ 8R by a friend who got it for me.

I've not had it hooked up to anything, no space or time to setup anything in the very near future and wondered if anyone else had come across a 4 channel SR-404 before and maybe knew anything more ? It weighs nearly 50kg!!

Will post some pics of front and rear in a bit :)

Thanks

Hi mate what you have a is a standard 2 channel 404. So the specs at the top of this page are correct for your amp. I don't think c audio ever made a 4 channel amp in the SR series. You might be confusing the fact that it has 2 lots of binding posts, but these are just in parallel with each other.

  I'm sure it was some of these I put in my XR3801s, they now run really cool;

  I'm pretty sure the SRs use the same fans but I would check first!

If anyone has got the specs again would be great, friend of mine just bought an SR606 and SR707, think he's been misadvised as to what power they actually are.

Or if anyone can shed some light on them at all !

I'm also curious as to what they are myself !

Thanks,

Myles.
