long enough to get low, we cross it 37hz-80hz 24db butter. and i do measure enough lower frequencies. -edit- only with the right drivers.. Ive tested the killer B&C 18SW115 , measured -4,5 db on 40hz compared to the 18tbx100.. so that's a no go, the B&C 18tbx100 performs a lot better in the WSX.

and this: http://www.voidaudio.pl/attachments/article/147/A%20Practical%20Guide%20To%20Bass%20Arrays%20%28angielski%29.pdf Have you tried stacking three cabs high? That might give you more vertical directivity. Don't forget that outdoors you are effectively shooting a lot of energy upwards towards space... |

Which might come back down again a few miles down the road due to refraction when there are strong temperature gradients...

Very true But what about the dancefloor? Do you think a higher vertical stack could improve things? I would have thought so.... |

Stereobass is just crap especially inside, but the most simple bummers can be calculated by head, there's some real nice online guides, think about distance to: other stack, sidewall, backwall, ceiling.
WSX: 37-80hz is not much of a bandwidth for a cab! And the F2B should go well below 80 in triples. With at deidicated kick like that I'd prefer response from 30 or below. |

If so, then you dont have to use dedicated kick cabs with WSX. But dont you will loose some low end and maybe spl also? |

Usually the SPL for basshorns is high in the top-end, of course covering 38-150 uses more watts than 38-80 hz, you can compensate for this by using extra cabs instead of kicks.
I'd say that efficiency is probably better if using more of the same horncabs due to coupling. Yet I prefer the sound of f2b or straight kick from 100-160 |

Did you normalize these measurements to give equal input power in all cases? i can see the isopressure lines shifting outwards from the source which does indeed suggest directivity. I cannot see however what the source SPL distribution is due to the low resolution image. The effect shown could just be source SPL. |

?
You clearly see the shape of sound field intensity change. SPL in this case is irrelevant, only thing that matters is the SPL difference between the top of speaker array and in front of array. |

The images are high res but the forum squashes them - right click and open in a new tab for full size. The input level was not adjusted so yes there is more output but that is not totally relevant, the shape of dispersion will still be the same regardless of absolute SPL so long as all boxes have equal power
