Hello everyone, just a quick question.

How does a crest cc5500 hold up against a proline 3000, crown XLS 5000 or macrotech 5000 on sub duty?

comparing the cc5500 to the xls5000,  cc5000 has a richer more detailed tone, xls5000 more aggressive sounding bass.

i've always found crest to be pretty good, i'd buy a crest for reliability and sound quality, i think their clip limiting is good too. cc5500 should have more "balls" than the cc4000 i had(used for five years, no problems, sold to happy customers who use it at 2ohms stereo without issues). crown macrotech is a different beast than xls series but i guess its older and u can just get a second hand one, you would find lots of infos here on that one + the proline

Thanks for the replies :) it helped me eliminate the XLS and macrotech
Without taking the price difference into account, what would you pick: 5500 or a proline?
