Hi.
I'm looking for a single piece of software that will run audio AND dmx. So I could have a set of hotkeys that would each trigger a dmx preset as well as an audio file. Does this software exist? Thanks Gethin

Its unlikely you'll find some software that will do both very well. if at all. Best bet would be to use any standard audio sample playback software and any lighting software that will respond to midi, there are freeware programs that allow you to send a user assignable midi message from you computer keyboard. Any modern computer system will easily cope with running all three. You can then set this to trigger the cues/states/audio files.

Monkeypuzzle - I had thought of that, it's probably going to be the only way. They wanted it all on touch screen ideally though. Do you know if both pieces of software would respond even if they're not open on the screen?
Norty - How would this work with dmx? would i need a midi-dmx decoder or something? Cheers

I was just following on from Matts comment about using a DMX program that supports midi. So assuming you have one, you can send midi from Ableton to the lighting program and map the (virtual) midi controller to relevant DMX control. |

Show Cue System might be worth a look into. It can send MIDI control cues to a lighting console and can also have an option to fire cues from DMX if you want your lighting console to control your sound cues...
