"These professional 3 way PA speakers are perfect for DJ’s, musicians and bands
or for sound reinforcement at conferences. With 400 Watts RMS power output per speaker and sturdy construction to match, the PW-1522 ’s are guaranteed to impress." They have to be joking surely? 400w RMS through that woofer? |

Verified Purchase
Wow was worried when pruchased these as the product and company were a
bit unknown. They arrived in huge boxes, seriously these are big
speakers, if moving them i would recommend a trolley or hiring a big
guy. They do look good and very impressive and come with top hat
connections for putting on stands. The covers over the 15" speakers are a
bit flimsy though and could be a bit better as they can rattle at the
high end, a bit of door insulation tape can resolve some of that. They
are what they are a big budget loud speaker. Brilliant, haven't had any trouble with them. Only thing I will say is that they are great for pubs, small to medium size venues but I wouldn't advise pushing them to their limits in a venue any bigger. Still dependent on what size power amp you have feeding them but at 800W each, isn't that loud when you think about it. There's little background "hiss" to them even when pushed to 800. Call me paranoid but I seldom push them that far just incase. I'm using a Behringer iNuke 1000W power amp and half way on both sides seems to be the ideal levels for these speakers (in a venue holding about 500). So yeah I recommend them to any sound engineer starting up and possibly upgrade when bigger jobs come your way. They look bulky but they're really not heavy at all, one person can easily mount them on to their stands. I honestly would give these 5 stars if they had a higher wattage (not a real word......is now ;) |
