That concoction of signal distorting boxes that Midas has just posted..............Surely, if you have a vendetta against a band using your P.A. There's a cheaper, and less space consuming way of screwing their sound up?

hes actually made quite a good job of such a pile of crap.... looks wise, prob still sound like poop. the active ibiza 'sub' in the middle is always good for a laugh. skytec and qtx have the self same modle and a year or two back b=I bought one off the bay of evil and rebuilt the baffle and put bracing into an unbraced box. suprisingly it sounded alot better (which wasnt hard to start with) but sill a pile of crap and it weighed another 7-10kg ontop of the original box.

nope. it was an exercise in WHY bracing is required. and how much a well made box makes a big difference in performance.

it was a nice lesson.

I still love the pics that Pasi posted on Facebook a while back of some of OHM's heavily braced cabinets. I do wonder, though, does bracing a cabinet to drastically reduce vibration/resonances put increased pressure on the driver thus causing lesser drivers to 'give up' because of increased pressure with the box? It would be nice to hear from anyone who has actuall experimented with this.

a lot of manufactures do give design parameters for closed and vented boxes for their reflex drivers so im not so sure the experiment of such enclosures would really be worth it as if they are giving there parameters they must be confident that the driver will hold up to the pressures in said boxes.
