hey

just came across this from another forum.

We all know Ellaskins, who puts out the DJing tutorial videos on youtube. He's been mentioned on here a few times and linked to when he's been reviewing some gear or speakers and we take the piss out him a bit. Smile

All good fun, but he seems to be going through some real shit just now, both finantially and personally, because of a big messy divorce.

As much as we laugh a little about his gear reviews (and I cringe plenty!), he has been an insperation on youtube for millions of beginner DJ's, and his free lessons, i guarantee, are what has made a ton of beginners finally grasp certain basic concepts like beat matching and phrasing.

And out side of whether you like his Vids, he seems a genuine, well meaning bloke who does all this for free just because he is passionate about it. No one wants to see someone go through all this, loosing access to his kids and possibly loosing his house.

Woman unfaithful, man barred access to children. Standard.

I'm sure a lot of us can relate to how he is feeling in some way. I wish him all the best.

Someone should organise a whip round of all his YouTube subscribers. If they all donated a pound or a fiver or something, he would be sorted. I'd bung him a fiver for the cause, watched a lot of his vids and he seems a top bloke to me.

Plus, wife wants the house, wife wants the car, wife wants half the pension, wife wants maintianence money to live in same style been used to = Husband bankrupt and living in council bedsit flat.

Happened to three of my pals, all lost their houses (nice ones too) ,now all three pennyless.

Im simplifying, but marrying a bloke with a few quid seems a career move for most women these days...it must be like winning the lottery on the wedding day.

Be seeing you.

I'm in the same boat myself at the moment, struggling to pay rent, had to give up my car, see my daughter for about 12 hours a week. All so the bi can shack up with some pr in my house and take 15% of my wages!

I haven't got a point to make, but I feel a little less angry now! Time for a mix I think, basslines are the cure I need!!

HA! it's a profession in Asia. When I first moved to Bali 7 years ago, home wifi wasn't available so everybody was in internet cafes. I would walk behind girls monitors and see that some of them were chatting to 7 guys at once........cut a long story short, one girl who was still in her P-jams at the time, was talking to a few guys is now married to one of them, an English guy who is a helicopter salesman. She is now married to him and living in Singapore. Shame he doesn't know what I know.
Dear God. We paid for all this stuff ourselves, so thanks for nothing

yeah a few people have suggested a donations account, if his subscribers all chipped in £2 each he'd be sorted.

When I first saw this last night I instantly thought back ages to when I first heard about this guy.................he obviously works a full day, then comes home and spend evening and weekends with his family!?

........NO! maybe he went to work, came home and neglected his family time buy doing free tutorial videos and reviews = bored house wife, children that don't get attention
