Old heavy, thirsty amp but very good, even if it gets a bit hot..
Been offered a few, wonder if there's a mod, for it to run a bit cooler !? |

as ken said,.ive had a few now for over 10years,,no service,,still goin strong,.although i have hoovered the dust out one or twice,.im stickin with them anyway,,sound lush from 20hz to 20khz,.i have got the dynacords l2400 aswell,,ther like brand new,,& seems to run a little cooler than the older ones,.i like um

also helps if the bias is set right. The pots on these drift and can lay on the bias pretty thickly. A quick test is to let one idle on the bench for a few minutes. It should cycle the fans on and off between 'stop' and speed 1.
The other option is to plug it into a watt meter and check the idle power consumption is as per spec sheet. |
