The B and C 12PE32 seems to be favorite with some people. Sensitivity is 101.5 db 1W 1M. Will work in a simple cab or a horn loaded one.

I presume as you have  referred to the SN12B you mean for use with a short horn ?

Current preference is the 18Sound 12ND710.  Very efficient and very light!

This is what i've been looking at:

   Driver               Price (roughly)         My thoughts...
P-audio SN-12B           £80                  Good sensitivity, Light, Good EBP, CHEAP!
Fane 12MB                  £109                 Huge xmax, High power handling,
B&C 12PE 32               £109                 Phenominal Sensitivity, Good EBP
18sound 12ND710      £?                     Crazy sensitivity, good power handling, light,
low inductance, good xmax.... (seems like a winner!)

Cheers guys! How do these drivers compare to each other sound wise?? Any opinions on what sounds best?

I like the HPL 64 light as a feather and sensitivity is 100dB.
Depends on its application though, whats it for?

I can only be vauge im afraid!

All i know is my mate blew up my existing 12s and i need some more, but this time im gonna build really good ones and save up to get good equipment. Horn loaded probably (unless anyone has a better suggestion?) I think i wanna build 2 cabs to start with.

Obviously I could build   12" &1"
                              or     12"&1.4" etc..

But possibly i could go 12" 6" &1"

Playing from roughly 100-120Hz up to 20k ish

I have been learning alot about bass over the last few months but i have been ignoring mid etc, I just wanted some peoples ideas to kind of guide me into forming an opinion of what i need, cheers peeps!
