Just thought I'd share pics of my 2nd build. My first build here if anyone's interested: http://forum.speakerplans.com/my-home-build-ghetto-blaster_topic78996.html
This ones out of an old record box. The internals contain bracing and a 7ah agm SLA, amp is a lepai something or other, speakers are 6.5" JVC 6 ohm (don't know any specs), 1" soft dome tweeter, port at rear,12v socket which doubles as charging point and a 3.5mm input socket. Weight is 9.4kg. Lid is closed for transportation and protection. Sounds pretty good for what it is. Really impressed so far. Sorry about the crappy phone pic quality. |

Thanks, it's getting its debut outing on a campsite beach in Norfolk in August! It was intended as a music system for our bell tent but I think it'll get a few more outings other than camping use.

That is fantastic, love the lid being a kick-back stand. Hope the port is covered up in mesh or the like to keep out animals...
Looking at it again, you've nailed the industrialist aesthetic too! |
