You also need to pad the compression driver... After that the cabs will be more bassy as they will be less toppy...

OK, with a load of loft insulation stapled in there and some draught excluder in strategic places the freq resp is good, that first little gig went very well. Still haven't got a camera to post photos with, pity as I'm very happy with the crimson & black colour scheme and the grilles I got from markie.
Couple of weeks' time they're going to get some tougher duties with a DJ and a 9 piece gypsy jazz ensemble. On bass duties will be a cluster of 4 12 inch drivers (actually a couple of mogale X12s without tops and Zeuz 12s), the XM15s handling FOH mid-his in mono, all powered by a Tapco Juice J2500 (yet to be ordered) and my old inherited KAM boxes will provide foldback powered by the trusty Matrix UKP1300. Still to come - photos, and that very wrong winISD model. |
