Ok, edited and tidied up a little.  If you can add any further ones as new posts, one of us can sort it out as needed.

Note to the mods, I've hidden, rather than deleted, the original posts with links in, just in case something got lost in translation.  Might be good to do the same with the rest, in case of mishaps.

So you want to design a horn - you know you need a mouth, a throat and some sort of flare...
7. "What's So Sacred About Exponential Horns?," Presented at the 51st Convention of the Audio Engineering Society, Preprint No. 1038 (F-3), (May 1975).

Includes EV HR9040 which has an exponential section, then conical sets the midband dispersion, then the last 1/3 of the flare is double the middles angle to help the pattern. not sure of any sources for horns like this.

Hah awesome
I like the idea of something that is efficient, portable, and doesnt require a huge infrastructure to work. Ofcourse you compromise bass cutoff and some quality. But you get to hear music still.

Stumbled across a cool website. Got some quite in depth but well explained stuff in there. Not all applicaple to speaker design but good reading.

http://www.dliengineering.com/vibman/Alan2-toc.htm

Also I think the hyperphysics link from GIVEorTAKE should be put on the first post. Such an informative website that methinks.

monkey x

edit: PS, not quite sure why it doesnt come up as a proper link. Just copy and paste it into the address bar and it should work fine.
