The PAS system as it is called is becomming fairly popular on this side of the pond with small event entertainers and wedding DJ's. As you would expect brides love the sleek appearance, and the system has adequate output and sound quality for those not needing dance club spl. Some of the Bose-aholics that wouldn't use anything else actually buy crates of the bass modules and stack them up, Bose even sells an outboard amp to power extra modules, but this isn't money well spent. The smarter guys simply buy the L1 and add whatever sub they have in thier inventory already, reflex 15's and 18's blend well with the 200hz crossover needed for the L1.
The Bose Panaray MA12 is the install version of the L1 and you'll find a little more detailed specs there... http://pro.bose.com/ProController?url=/pro/products/panaray/panarayma12.jsp
