That's good to hear thanks! The tent is quite small so we shouldn't have to run them too hard so hopefully heat wont be a problem. Ply arrives on Friday, can't wait to get started. Anyone got any building tips for these? We're not experts by any means but managed fine building mt121s, hoping these won't be too much more difficult. We planned to make a jig in order to rebate the sides using one of those bushing for a router and a template just to make sure everything slides into the right place. We thought to remove the back bottom corner too and make the 45 degree piece double thick to put wheels on so we can just tip it back onto the wheels :)

The driver doesn't go in backwards, the cone faces the air through the horn if that makes sense, so you don't need to wire it backwards. You'll need to delay your other boxes appropriately to account for the 3m horn length

But to be fair I must say there's some enlosure volume difference?
Should be near the same, but Amano has much more compression 1:3

Looks terrible after the uploader! Parting in editor works until I press "post"
So ok, this sim is the OPOSITE way around, Amano black & SBH grey 0,5 pi @ 3200Watt :-)

The amano is still flat & beautiful, SBH looks bad, I wonder higher compression makes the amano distort.

Here's a comparison of SBH (black) to invader:

The two cabs are like night & day, look at 50 hz!
Invader plays quite louder with 5L volume, but looses a little deep hz then

The amano sim looks awesome. One question whats an amano? Tia

Also have a look at this:
https://forum.speakerplans.com/alternative-version-of-wsx-plan_topic35203_page2.html

EDIT: Also no 180 degrees bends, the way I like it :-)

Double edit: I'm not very fond of the SBH dip at 50hz, some popular deisgn I never really get, same counts for cubos (not sub not kick) and bfm tops :-)

Then I also have some questions to add to the confusion, two things I've never really understood:

Phantom horn:
When is this being accounted for, I thought hornresp would do so itself doing a sim halfspace, but the invader sim I think includes the phantom horn. Is it automatically in hornresp sim?
https://forum.speakerplans.com/2x18-meatgrinder-v2-done_topic29174_page13.html

Manifold horn:
On some threads it's simulted like two horns shraring the full area of the joint part of the horn, others simulate splitting the joint part of horn, that then has negative expansion, i guess it should be one step down in Pi then?

Is there a reason for that tantalising pic of the Terra Horn bitoec?

For comparisson I suppose, I hope it didn't come accross as showing off. There's only so many ways to fold a 3m+ horn into a reasonable shaped box and it's suprising how different this new design is. The Terra horn follows the same folding pattern as the EM Quake and the Lab Horn really whereas this design is an innovative extension of the 1850 style S-bin fold.

The fact that the driver is loaded from the front in this design limits the throat arrangements you can have. I never had any problems with this style of loading in the 1850 horns when I had them but I have a preference for the style of throat used in the ASS folded horns (BS1200, etc) and the punisher where the driver is firing onto a parallel plate and the expansion is the the other plane for the initial section. The terra horns are a kind of combination of the two.

Opus get around the uneven loading caused by the throat arrangement in this new design by putting a weird shaped bulge on the access panel. Perhaps the designer of this cab could esperiment with this to reduce the front chamber volume and even up the loading?

really? thats interesting
The EM hasn't got that empty void inside the cab though has it?Confused

Still loving that Terra Horn, still my favourite

have you or minimaxil got a 1w1m spl graph we can look at for the Terra horn?

have you heard the EM quake Biotec, if so how do you compare it to the Terra Horn?

Someone has a plan for the Tera Horn and it is possible to share it with me? Bless you!
