I think Joseph is saying, put some love into it?

your charging top $ for these and it doesn't look like top $ is going into them

yes, it can have a great sound at the end of it, but it looks like a third hand rate job on the inside of the tin

I am Question his integrity, him splashing it over the net if he had a problem with the wiring talk to the builder, Marks a very honest and pleasant person has many friends in the business there's no need for that kind of talking , can you imagine how he is feeling right now some one you thought was your friend talking about you on the net, should never happen unless there is an alterer motive for doing it, no amount of reasoning will change my mind what he has done is wrong, there are those out there who use this forum to have a pop at people in the Roots environment say things they would not normally say it needs to stop.

Come on guys,
this was an interesting thread so far so it would be good to get back to the topic. I can fully understand Weedas frustration simply because he loves this thing but it`s not reliable enough. Look at the Ultradrive Poll or some PD threads. Everyone loves it but there is a quality issue. Try to make Behringer change it. ;-) For them, improving is a pure calculation
thing for them. Loss of sales against costs for improvement.

I personally don`t this forum as a place for supplier/customer issues but we`re all in here for the love of music and the love of soundsystem. Guess nobody wants to put Mark or Tubbys on the same rank as Behringer. We put loads of time, effort and money in this thing caring about every single component, etc.

This is the place where we can discuss all this and there shouldn`t be a need to hide anything behind the bush. If something is sh*t and there is a way to address and change it, let`s do it. We don`t get a chance to do this with a lot of products.
I can`t say whether those pics should a very bad example, a once in a lifetime thing or the average build quality. I guess MSkeete wants his customers to be happy and the sounds want to have a good and reliable product. Simple as that. Guess some lessons were learned from this thread.

Joseph, will you post and output graphs of the Mostec? Everyone is saying that those things sound so nice so let`s have a look.

Weeda, get back on your feet quickly so you`re up & running for the Aba session. Tried hard to get a business appointment down there so i could join the session on company costs but didn`t work out.

Mark, I guess by now the the 4-way is more or less an "off the rack" product for you so I expected most connections to be handled via cheap but solid plastic connectors. You metioned it somehwere. Anything going in this direction?

Let`s get back together and stop having a go at each other.

P.S: For the ones now wanting to have a go at me - good luck. Hug

ClapClapClapClap

This has turned out to be a bit of drama, which could have been avoided.
Don't forget that this is the Roots n Culture forum. Therefore, should we not act in a 'Rootikal' way? 'Treat people like how you would like to be treated' is what I use to say at the end of my radio shows. Is it so hard for bredren n sistren to communicate with each other, with some respect on here? The private message function, is there for a reason.

The web (just like the airwaves), has to be used with responsibly. When ones ego gets in the way, the results are all to clear to see.

sl*gging someone off in public, when you haven't even had the courage to tell dem straight inna dem face, is just plain disrespectful. We have names for dem kinda people, but I won't use it on here.

Let's get back to Joe Hotrod Redemption's pimp my pre reports, and smileSmileWink

Give Thanks and a Happy belated Ethiopian Christmas, to my bredren n sistrens!

Masai

p.s. Rootsdriver - I'm right beside you in the firing line, iya!

Like Masai and Rootsdriver wrote with their wise words lets go back to Joe Hotrod Redemption's pimp my pre reports.

I'm trying now to make audio files for the 3 pre I got now. JTS 3way, Mostec 4way and Lincoln 4way. I'm trying to setup a test rig with a mixing table so I can put in parralel the 3 pre so I can adjust same bass, mids and tops on all 3 and then listen to the differences. i dont think there will be a clear winner as I already have tested the 3 and each have is own caracter. Very exiting.
So keep tuned to the forum.

Moral of the story.

Buy Tubbys. Or Mostec..

He wont rip you off,
It sounds great.
You can get a service.
Cheaper than Jored, and errr, still around, when you pick up the phone
