boldsystems seems well happy with them...  18"  bandpass horn kick bin

Seems a bit huge mate.

I guess the ideal would be USB size, with ES18 performance, which wont happen, unless custom driver is used.

Do people think 2x18 reflex with PD186/XB/Celestion would out do HD215 with PD154 @ 70-180 inside and out?

38kg to, Nice & easy one man lift & 1500w Prog :)

The above is only a bit bigger than a USB.... 45Hz - 130Hz and like boldsystem said 1500w prog using Neo driver. You can run them at 1000w all day long Big smile

sounds like a good compact bass cab but not really an ideal kick bin though, most want a cab to go above subs that gets to 160hz+

bearing in mind ES18 & HD15 can be used to 180hz with the right drivers & the turbo stuff will get upto 250 hz.

Sorry i ment boldsystems runs his from 45Hz - 130Hz - they will run from 45Hz - 170Hz we have tried them a bit highter but it starts to sound a bit harsh. Prob due to the neo driver as when tried them with a PD186 it played up to 190Hz with no probs.

The mid-highs we make run down to 90Hz if needed so these bins work perfect with them. Everything Neo loaded as weight & power is our key point

Why would you want a ported horn for kick!? it would be harder to match the kick and sub up, and you dont need a massive horn for 80Hz. Unless you mean some sort of cunning port-in-throat design.....

a straight horn with a ported rear chamber could go below 80Hz and would be more compact and play higher than a FLH which would probably have to be folded. and less excursion for same output.
