You obviously havent heard one.

One of the best sounding car subs ever, but doesnt get as loud as some.

It's designed as a SQL sub, if it didn't sound good it wasn't installed properly. They go loooow but not as loud as some of the other supersubs.

I have heard them i had 2, then swapped over to JBL gti's powered by an A6000Gti Crown amplifier.. only problem with the Gti subs is they are low current subs so only work well with the crown amp
Pyrotechnics... its not rocket science, well.... actually it is !! :o)

when i brought this sub i put it up against the JBL gti, pioneer SPL, Kicker SoloX, orion HCCA,cerwin vega Vmax and JL W7 and the re audio xxx out done all of them, 10 tyms over for sound quality and also SPL and it also dropped lower, i tested these subs in a golf with the whole boot dynamateed and put a hifonics 2000D amp onto em re audio come out singing by farr

It does go 54mm one way and by god it's a sight to behold. Huge beasts though, massive baskets.
