Then a few small racks of 1x X4 or 2x K20 would also be useful to have for smaller systems, wedges por additional sub racks.

Given that I'm a 4 ohm load lover, definitely want more sub amps than that! I am working on it but more cases = more space.

ah yes, i shouldv'e put some details :-) so this is one i can carry on my own (being old and feeble)..
the 6U rack has the deca on bass - which is slightly under powered, but a lot lighter that my EV P1200's or crowns. i use the carver on mid with passive highs because its light and has a rediculous amount of headroom. The 2U rack runs up to 8 celestion SR3's (remember them?) full range, or can run bi-amp with some bins. for this job i used 4 sr3's for dj monitors. I was quite surprised that the deaf dj red-lined the lot for 6hrs without it being reduced to a pile of ashes :-) I use these amps becuase i can buy them in as broken, then i give them a full rebuild - the digi amps cost about £15 each to repair ! I'm using the yammy digital grapics beacuse they're only 1U and the quality isn't bad, think these are only 20-bit @44kHz, but the horns i'm currently using only go up to 16k (as do my ears these days ) Edited by AudioSystemsEngineer - 02 October 2016 at 4:02pm |
