Is it me or are they nasty sounding  adding a kind of 8 bit graininess. Used three 3602's to drive lo mid, hi mid, high on the r4's and it sounded pants.  Has anyone else had a similar experience.

Not me.

I have a 3002 driving low mid on Floodlights and it sounds fine.

Was looking at these as an option to power my tops?

Shouldn't have an 8-bit anything, they have switchmode PSU but linear output stage

Always very happy with my PLX's. Sure it wasn't grainess elsewhere in the system?

PLX's work like wire with gain for me. They even clip very nicely.

Another thumbs up for the PLX's, fantastic amps in my opinion.

Hmm well seems that there might be a need to look elsewhere along the signal chain or indeed in the room itself.  Some kind of upper low mid phase cancellation. Bringing the h mid and tweets up in the mix..  The search continues..

I can confirm, I always found QSC amp a bit agressive...

Unless it's defective, it wouldn't be adding anything. If the input signal is grainy, the output signal will be, too.

Hmmm

shop bought cd
Cdj1000
drawmer sp2120
sw9088iis
3 x plx3602
2 x qscex4000
2 x fk1 f218
2 x fk1 res4scp

On paper it should be sweet. Single stacked the 218's subs with the r4s flown each side so as I mentioned possibly its a placement issue.  Have yet to have time to get back to the venue for another play..
