Have a project underway where I could use somethign with ultrasweet HF..  I would have used the JBL slot tweeters, but they are discontinued, so thats not an option...

Anyone got an idea what to look for?

Preferrably something thats available in bulk quantities..

Pricey I would have thought, but do it because I really think they are a step above any transducer... (I've never heard those gas plasma tweeters though....)

But imagine life without compression driver distortion !
 
HALO uses ribbons, and they put horns to shame.

big difference between hifi and PA ribbon transducers, hifi/studio monitoring ones are still not cheap but low SPL, PA ribbons are a pretty new technology in terms of getting the SPL out of them (as far as im aware) thus expensive.
