Right, we currently use 4x cerwin vega JE36 18" 106db 1w 1m and they perform well. But I want something smaller, more efficient and lighter. They are big to maneuver around the stairs of the boat and a pain in the arse.
with them we use 2 x 215+2" suggestions? pile of 12" reflexes?

If your 'Boat Party' is on the Thames in London you will have even toughter noise restrictions this year, where the boat can't turn off the limiter once away from pier like previous years. Best go for 4 cabs in the corners. I use 2 x event 3000's and 2 Event 1000's. the D.J. Kit takes the most time to set up. Otherwise 4 x 15" bass cab with poll up to F8's or something. It is all down to loading time you only get 45mins on most Thames boats. and remember when removing the kit the ramp back upto the road is alot steeper on low tied. Which is always when you are removing the kit. |

the "boat parties" are in Malta, no sound restrictions except when docked. Music always starts when 200m away from land.

106dB in the 40hz~50hz range, about 10dB more than a CV in that range.

I'll wager you any amount of money you like:
The BFM design will not measure as advertised, but the Danley design will. "Danley Sound Labs data is gathered by Pat Brown’s ETC company which insures our customers get honest third-party gathered data and not some home cooked set of numbers that may be misleading or overly optimistic at best."
