I did quite a lot of work on the CB-18's today:
- Fitted all of the handles. - Fitted 8 speakerclamps per cab, - Installed speaker, - Spayed the grille 2 times, - Fitted the grille What I still have to do: - Make a wheelboard for the front. Pictures: Edited by djyves - 09 April 2011 at 6:39pm |

Looks good, but i would put some foam on the front grill (preferably behind it) just to make it look a little more pro. Use spray-gleu to coat the grill only and then attach the foam to it. Apply some weight and a little later, voila.

Best regards,
Teun. |

I already have the foam, firstly I wanted to attatch it to the back of the grill,
But I like the look of it more without, but maybe In the future I will add some foam.

Today I'm gonna make the wheelboards, and get everything downstairs for next week. It's quite a big room, I will make some measurements, I'm gonna use them with the duran tops. |

Very nice build!
Can you tell me where you got the grillematerial from?
Kan je me vertellen waar je het grillemateriaal vandaan hebt?

Expanded metal is available at sheet-metal shops, steel fabricators, and HVAC shops.
The type shown has sharp edges, the rolled flat version may be better for you. http://www.google.com/search?q=expanded+metal&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a It has a light oil coating that is cleaned-off after fabrication (cutting and forming) and must be painted, powder coated, or dipped right after cleaning. |

I bought my expanded metal here
Today I made the wheelboards, and made everything ready for tomorrow. I will be running the CB's each off a Yamaha P4500 in bridge.
