Samson SX3200
Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Stated as 1100watts at 4 ohms 15hk-40khz

Used to be 1600 @ 2r, now they dont say that!
Admitting defeat and being honest, I'd say thats cool. MUCH too expensive new.
I have accumulated:
2 x 3200
1 x 2800
2 x 1800

For a total of less than £550. All used, but hardly and in good nick.

Cooll as hell @ 4r on sub.
It just is.

Marshall 100W lead & bass amplifier head

And the nasty home made mosfet replacement amp board that lay inside on veroboard (components on both sides of the board!)

And it's predictably dire attempt to reproduce a sine wave.

If you mean my video, that was a Crown MA12000i that has developed a mind of its own, having disgraced itself at several gigs already. At around 3 years old, you dont get much for 5 grand! Think of an XTi crossed with a laptop motherboard and a malevolent poltergeist and you get the idea.

Ed, what the hell was going on with that Peavey?  Was that random fan speeds or is it trying to communicate with you?

yup, looks like its doing what ...about 10mhz ? from what i remember of these things going into oscillation ?

Mind, the emissions that some allegedly working perfectly fine class-d's are scary.. definately not meeting emissions laws and regs ;) ..funny world we live in :)

Well I've got a 50Mhz scope and with the timebase cranked up to full it was still showing a load of rubbish. What an expensive way to ruin a Marshall amp head.

Either way, I think its emissions may have temporarily disabled a few satellites this afternoon.

Had that issue today, not from a class D, just a cheap switchmode amp.  Was using my FM radio as the signal source to run it up but as I turned the amp up, the radio reception got worse!  Not the first time.  Unfortunately I don't own an RF spectrum analyser to find out what it's spewing out.

without digging the schematics up, looks vaguely reminiscent of the maplin mosfet design.
