That is all they are worth Shaun, driver value only. The TCB cabinet wasn't one of JBL's better designs...take the drivers out and put them in something better.

Use the cabinets as portable staging or dance podium Smile

The only time I've heard them and thought, "Holy f**k!", was when I used them on an indoor paint ball install for doing bomb sounds!  Just one, powered by an Inf. 8... the pics are on the site somewhere.

I've always liked them. I have a pair of the 15" versions now. 4785.   Very smooth flat frequency repsonse and very deep low. High sensitivity too.

Even Butlins Bognor Regisb back in the early 90's had a pair under the stage.   I remember the bass quite well.

They don't have a good flat response. A triple chamber bandpass will not be 'flat', especially across the figures JBL would quote.

Each to there own as sound is personal and subjective. Fitted many. Then replaced them with our own cabs. Smile . One install in Spain had 8 of them and 8 , 2x15's all driven by 707/808. Sounded awful. They burn well though.

If a TCB was the best way to go, many others would have built them. A classic American sales company doing what it does best. Reminds me of Bose 302's.

That's GDS Audio of Nuneaton selling those. I think they had a big contract with Luminar, they've got loads of (Possibly repossessed) ex install gear for sale, and they've never been shy about prices. They've been trading since the early 70s and they always seem to have found someone who would pay.

How about this one then,

£150 for a pair of old Goodmans, one with a "molding crease from new (see pic 6)," which looks like a badly repaired tear, to me, but they are....

"well cared for and full working order.  These are one owner, ex hi-fi, not beaten up PA stuff."
