Mykey this plot (if i remember it correctly) is made with a 120Hz LPF. It is too cold outside right now to go and take more measurements.

For the last two-day,s I have been listening to the new Dayton PA 465s in a MS 18 mk1,compared to the PRV 18FH2400 it,s more musical/warmer tone .I have no real way to measure it so it is objective .but enough to go buy another one.

IMO, the best (with respect to specs) driver for scoops available in the US under $300 is the LW2400 by 18sound.

correct me if I wrong but,

that actually is one of the few bc approved in blue on the list of compatible drivers doesnt seem to be possible to be fitted on a super scoop....

on my calculation

super scoop is 220mm deep (256mm-36mm)
the speaker 226mm (242mm - 16mm)

Correct, unless you did a double baffle or some other modification.

If you try that combo, let us know how it sounds

I was on that way before found this problem...

I've 6 super tbx100 loaded

the magnet in this case is just 27 mm far from the back panel

in all the bc speaker the magnet is drilled, so a lot of air flowed even back to the magnet.
So in my humble opinion this change a few how the cone react to air movment (due the close back side panel) and even having a proper ventilation for not burn all is not so easy...or are bad ideas?

speaker like turbomax or pd 1850 are really shorter in term of deep.
is that an ulteriore thing to keep in mind when are choosing a speaker for a scoop?

Although I use the 18SW115, the TBX100 is a firm favourite with a lot of people.
