Considdering building two small subwoofers. Having simmed the BMS s330 in 500x500x500 box, tuned to 40hz. And it gives me ok output for the size and price. Planning building two boxes. Will be used indoors.
Price is around 100£ ( ex vat, ex shipping) per driver. Since that is the price I get BMS 15 s330's for. What alternative drivers suited for br are recommended? Edited by Aztor - 12 September 2012 at 9:50am |

Sounds remarkably like the 15" subs I use, they are loaded with Beyma 15lx60. Sadly discontinued but a lot of noise comes out of 4 enclosures for the weight. Easy one man lift, even up the dreaded stairs.

Stick the BMS in a 75L nett box, tune to 45-48hz and jobs a good un. That BMS driver is a great choice if you want nice thumpy bass, I doubt that you will do better at that price.
Building some at the moment with that driver that are even smaller (Q15) but they are designed to use external EQ. Tony Edited by Tony Wilkes - 09 September 2012 at 3:45pm |
