Is the 12P80/Fe a bass/mid or midbass driver?  Will will it work as fullrange in 2 way in fane box 12 cab or is it more of a mid driver?

The Beyma 12P80Fe is a High effeciency Driver, good midrange performance with a adequate amount of Bass content, It can typically be used in full range box's like stage monitors, front of house PA with either a 1" or for more headroom in the driver a 1.4" driver.  This will certainly do what you need it to do.

I'm planing on using the 12P80Fe in the fane box 12 cab with a RCF HF101 flare and BMS 4538 1".
hope this will work together?

Hi yea, that'll work fine. But for 2 x12" of this kinda sensitivity a 1.4 inch driver would be better. Take a look at the Beyma cd1014fe and one of the Beyma horns to go with it. Are you running it active or passive?

Wacko

Don't get fooled by that number as for some odd reason BMS decided to pull a "soundlab" on that particular figure.

When you look up the plots on the official website, you will notice that it is merely the absolute maximum PEAK, reached at around 2.5kHz, and even there it is just barely licking the 114dB mark from bottom.

The average sensitivity within the usable frequency range would be closer to about 107dB/1W/1m.

The bottom line being, that even though the BMS 4538 is a great budget driver, one can not expect miracles from it Wink

Ok, 2k passive is a safe enough area, But as tension says, you might be better of with a driver that has a flatter responce, so concentrate on the curves, and not the big numbers, Bear in mind that as a passive box you are going to have a 4 ohm load on the bottom end, and these drivers can take a good whack of power, so your passive components are going to have to be pretty meaty to handle to power given to the box.  If you think you are going for a 1" driver, theres loads of choice out there, The 12P80fe driver is a quality item, and a good choice for this type of box, so dont spoil it just for a £10.00 cheaper 1"  try Beyma's CD10ND or maybe CD10FE

The BMS 4538 is a good quality 1" and goes load with ease. It's loud mounted on the RCF 101 horn.
