This picture reminds me of 1978, and my mate who I hadn't seen for a few weeks said come round. Well in his bedroom was almost the image above that his dad had built him. Thanks for bringing back memories

Also a bit more went into the build ie doubled baffled , and more bracing and added a 2402 in the mid box...

also them 12" Fane mids are around 45years old now still going strong old 4 arm cast chassis...nice tone to them man..

glued top bottom ect Routered out baffles and port and round over baffles...nice sunny day Big smile

Shot of the close up port, little lip for the grill to seat on...

Sanded down filled holes and rounded over...

Box stained...started to add bracing, and battoning

Box side view stained...

Rear stained and access panel routered out...also a little routered lip around the edge of the rear panel, didnt want it to fit flush, thought it looked more vintage sytle...

Rear of acess panel with the gold cup washer , thought it looked nice touch imho...

Close up shot of top-box with some hf250s for tops, just got to build some mids now to the rectro style of the boxs...gonna be loaded with fane 18b's, so should make some nice noise/tones, as ive said before ive built it for a bit of fun, and on very very limited budget, as its cost me next to nothing to build it with some resorcing 2x2 bracing and battoning ect

from neighbours and friends...and a bit of work to build it...

so all got to do now it router some baffle rings to attach the grills, so the drivers are sealed to the baffles....and get some expanded mesh for the grills and port...

and give it a once over with clear satin varnish...you may not think but it is solid with bracing/battoning from the top/bottom/sides/front so should be good man......also the stain hardens up the exterior, also with a splash of varnish to do still....wadd the rear panel...Job Done!

to all have fun building....may not be the taste for some people man but i love the old style sound boxs...
