Licensed venue, load in, build, hook up to their highly polished steel clad dj booth full of 900nexus. Power up & hummmmmmmmmmm that evil ground loop ddnnnnerrrrrrrrzzzzzzz how undignified.

faff around technically eliminating various cables & bits of kit all to no avail

So out come the di boxes

aha excellent no hummmmmmmmmmmm

Oh ah ouch.. Suddenly the djm900 has gone prickly.

Get a multimeter out it was 110v from the Pioneer dj kit to the booth metal ware.. Disconnect the racks everything its still 110v.

Get hold of house sparks who says yeah maybe tomorrow.

fantastic...

stll lucky dj,s and no hum..

So with a hearty refrain always meter your mains.....

Common on that Pioneer 'stuff'.

Had many mixers with duff op amps on the i/p after having Pioneer CDJ plugged in whilst all powered up.

Can't remember when, but a long time ago someone on SP was measuring potential voltages with respect to earth on Pioneer mixers. The results were alarming.

On any kit that's not double insulated, check how clean the earth pin is & martindale the socket :)
