Don't they have six C Audio XR5001s powering the twenty four scoops? IIRC an XR5001 is 1.9kw into 4r per channel so that would work out at 22.8k total on the subs, somehow I don't think they are putting 73k through the kicks and mid tops so I wonder how they've arrived at this '96k' figure? Confused

96k is the combined rating of everything in the lockup, including the space heaters.

24x PD1850 subs = 19200w
16x PD1850 kicks = 12800w
10x Res 5s = 6000w
total = 38000w, fair play, that's a lot of power handling, but it ain't 96k!

edit; Yes I am bored and have nothing better to do!!LOL

If your gonna use 40x pd1850s on a system wouldn't you power them better than that ?

if sorted youd think thats be more like 50-60k of bass ?!

the midtop would be stuggling either way, more power won't help.....

20K and 20K could be very different! The PKN 3PHASE-20K beats every other "20K" amps what we tested in every aspects if it runs on three phase 400V.. We compared it to Powersoft K20 as well as Martin MA18K or Lab20000Q in two channel mode.

There is simply no amp similar in SPL on low frequencies or headroom. Overall sound quality, fine details of music are lot better on PKN too!

well, there is a surprise...

you really should let us all know more often about your preferences when it comes to amplifiers...
