my newly built MTH30 ( 3cm cut of the bottom so its a modded box... no reason, i just f**ked up reading the plans lol) with a void Mycro6 ontop. XT800 on tops and the pulse bridged on bass (PD12sb30) and yes i do like this colour scheme. Edited by mini-mad - 18 April 2015 at 7:35pm |

Cant measure.... i CAN give you my opinion though.
Let me get some time together and i'll sit in the garden and have them side by side and let you know their pros and cons. As a 1st... the THAM does play lower and it would appear the the MTH kicks better. More on these two wen i have an hour or two free to have a little play. Also, this was my 1st time using tuff cab and i have to say i LOVE the stuff! Rolls on easy and washes out of rollers/brushs easily. The one in my above post only has one coat at the moment. The reason i built this one was because i wanted a little less sub and a little more kick as i dont want to shake all the glasses of the bar shelves. Its also a much bigger box too. |

I always assumed the MTH would play lower due to being a bigger cabinet, but then I guess it isn't always that straightforward a relationship. Still jealous of those Myrcos, they were always my first choice before I settled for the 8" tops I eventually got!

Just looking through this thread and I do wonder what exactly qualifies as a 'Baby Stack'? There seems to be some fairly large boxes here, so maybe we should restrict this to stuff smaller than, say 12" drivers and/or a couple of hundred watts?
Anyway, my contribution is something I just knocked up to go with my new laptop. 2 x 5.25" whizzer speakers and a small amp based on a couple of TDA2030´s. Both vertical: Or horizontal stacking: And yes - it made from an old draw. Sounds damned good tho´. |
