I like a clean sound unless it's over driven guitar or perhaps keyboard, classic sounds they are, but as for adding anything to the signal chain on a P.A. to warm it up? Perhaps its just a EQ issue, when I think of warm, I think of really deep full but controlled bass that is reasonably tight, not overpowering but apparent enough to fatten up the sound, in a way, a reflex cab does this. But for the mids, I suppose a good mid section should be capable of, along with the tops, a good overall sound, should it? Its a balancing act after all. The sub are really an addition to, (in my humble opinion) a system that can be used on its own that sounds both clear and punchy at high SPL. That is where I start from in determining the quality of sound.
I might just try running my JMP1 or Mesa boogie through the mixer and input a CD, try the valve sound out, who knows it might sound like a LP

Has anyone here tried the behringer fx2000 3d effect prosessor and its "Ultra Bass" effect?
What was the "mystical" box jah tubbys used to make his bass fatter, not his preamp ULTRA BASS: This awesome combination of sub-harmonic processor, bass exciter, and limiter adds a final touch to your music production. |

Ive never got into the digital thing, dont know why since it gives alot of options to deal with sound.
Even in music making I always used hardware. But yes digital would be an easy option, sort of...The citronic has no tubes but it does have a really warm and nice sound! By the way you might have the most disturbing avatar at speakerplans |
