Pretty much the same quality as the "Ministry Of Sound" headphones that came out about ten year ago. Good ear warmers though

More Dr dire than Dr dre.
Little more than a marketing exercise to sell rubbish to those who know no better!

Because of the wireless streaming technology, not because of the headphones. |

Yeah, to get the wireless technology and the beats online music service. While iTunes is obviously a giant in terms of buying individual tracks, they've never quite cracked a subscription, £10 all you can eat type of service, which Beats has. So use that technology and integrate that with itunes was a huge thing. And to the deluded masses, packaging a cut down set of headphones with the beats logo in with every iPhone wont hurt either! In terms of the story of Monster Cable's involvement and how Dre screwed them, its actually quite a fascinating story..... http://gizmodo.com/5981823/beat-by-dre-the-inside-story-of-how-monster-lost-the-world |

that was a really interesting little read. Not sure if i can feel sorry for anyone here though.... im all for supporting real technical breakthrough, but marketing stuff we essentially already have as a breakthrough.... not for me ta.
quite like dr dre's approval..... ''thats the shit'' .... project gets a green light for production haha!! |

Wrong. Headphones are essential in all kinds of situations. It's twats headphones that are for twats.

I wonder at which renowned institute of medicine or science Dr. Dre obtained his Doctorate?

Just to buck the trend, the newer versions of the studio or whatever are actually quite good. But like Bose they're about £100 too much compared to equivalent models.
Apple more than likely bought them because of the sheer variety of styles / materials / combinations they do. That's no small feat of manufacturing and the tooling and such for it is of huge value, regardless of the end product. |
